EmpressFelicity

Welcome to my profile page!  In case you were wondering, the name Empress Felicity comes from one of our cats, who features as my avatar.  (Unless you can see a circle of black cats with a purple background, in which case it's my "mad cat lady" scarf that's acting as my avatar.)

After gaining a science degree over two decades ago and having a number of "normal" jobs (mainly editing/teaching), I've realised that I'm not cut out for the conventional 9-5 and have ended up doing a bit of this and a bit of that for a living: selling women's retro clothing and collectibles online, secretarial work and freelance writing/editing.

Feel free to check out my new stand-alone shop, The Silver Snake, selling vintage silver jewellery.

If you fancy writing on Hub Pages yourself by all means sign up via my referral link, which is here

Why not check out my gardening blog, about growing vegetables in pots and containers?

I'm also open to any offers of freelance writing, editing, proof reading and audio transcription work - just email me.

Finally, I've written a series of hubs on everyday maths problems, which many people have found useful.  I've listed them below, but if there are any subject areas you'd like me to cover in future hubs, then please let me know!
